Negotiating with Terrocracies
Negotiating with Imperialist powers: Foreign Policy of Iran
by Dr. Abdul Ruff,
Iran, earlier known as Persia, has been target of western terrocracies even before the onset of Sept-11 dramatics, believed to be engineered by anti-Islamic forces led by CIA-Mossad. Both USA and Israel and their allies have made several attempts to destabilize Iran and attack that Islamic nation for its vast energy resources.
Upon tremendous terror success in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Egypt, and elsewhere, the global dictator USA looks eager to weaken another important Muslim nation, Iran mainly to keep its terror ally Israel that supported the secret Sept-11 hoax of USA. Only when Iran is destabilized USA could be satisfied before targeting other key Muslim nations in Mideast like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Dubai. Of course, it is not an immediate agenda of CIA.
Diplomatic relations between USA and Iran were broken in April 1980 after the American embassy in Tehran was stormed perhaps by fanatic students during Iran’s Islamic Revolution. Since then the US has imposed successive rounds of sanctions, citing what it says is Iran’s support for international terrorism, human rights violations and refusals to co-operate with the IAEA. The US sanctions prohibit almost all trade with Iran and USA remains the top most dictatorial power with largest military terror prowess, no other country, including Russia dares to challenge it in any manner.
The US, which had earlier sold weapons to Tehran, especially during the Iraq-Iran war, to kill the Iraqis for many years has, since the end of that Mideast war, slapped longstanding economic terror sanctions in place on Iran, aiming at crippling the Iranian economy and destabilizing Islamic Iran.
And from a “reliable” ally, Iran thus quickly became an “enemy” of USA because the Iranian people opposed US dictatorial approach and unilateral policies in Mideast, promoting a fascist Israeli regime with terror goods, including illegal nukes.
The US controlled UN ratified several rounds of sanctions as asked by USA against Iran between 2006 and 2010 in reaction to its failure to halt uranium enrichment and co-operate with the International Atomic Energy Association (IAEA) over its nuclear program. These sanctions include a ban on the supply of heavy weaponry and nuclear-related technology to Iran, a block on Iranian arms exports, and an asset freeze on key individuals and companies. Resolution 1929, passed in 2010, mandates cargo inspections to detect and stop Iran’s acquisition of illicit materials.
America tries to cripple the economy of Iran. The US expanded sanctions to target companies that aid Iran’s oil and petrochemical industries, while the UK ordered all British financial institutions to stop doing business with their Iranian counterparts, including the Iranian central bank. Some fanatic members of the hawkish US Congress with imperialist instincts and colonial approach are sponsoring legislation urging President B. Obama to target Iran’s central bank and any foreign institutions that do business with it, potentially reducing the flow of oil revenue to Iran and causing a drop in its oil exports. Several other countries including Switzerland, Japan, Australia and Canada have also imposed bilateral sanctions on Iran in recent years in response to US call to boycott and punish Iran.
EU, operating as an ally of NATO and USA, added more troubles to Iran. As speculated, fresh sanctions have been agreed against Iran at a meeting on January 01 of EU foreign ministers in Brussels, as international pressure on Iran over its nuclear program intensifies. The EU, operating in tandem with NATO, has also imposed its own restrictions on trade in equipment which could be used for uranium enrichment and has put in place an asset freeze on a list of individuals and organizations which it believes are helping advance the country’s nuclear program, and has banned the individuals on the list from entering the EU. The anti-Islamic EU added 39 people and 141 companies to the list, although it has not yet named them. Last year the EU banned the export to Iran of key equipment and technology for the refining and production of natural gas, in an attempt to hit the crucial energy sector of the Iranian economy.
World might trust the Americans when they say that they are not on the war path over Iran
The West has imposed the increasingly tight sanctions over Iran’s legitimate peaceful nuclear program, but Western countries opposes another nuclear power in Mideast after Israel illegally acquired nukes and refuse to declare the details, believe Iran “aims” to build an atomic bomb.
Obviously, the illegal US/UN sanctions as economic terrorism could have a serious effect on Iran’s oil trade, which is 60 percent of its economy. The impact of falling government income from oil sales can be felt on the streets in Iran in soaring prices for state subsidized goods and a collapse of the rial currency.
The prospect of sanctions targeting the oil sector in a serious way for the first time has hit Iran’s rial currency, which has fallen by 40 percent against the dollar in the past month. World oil prices jumped more than 4 percent. Brent crude futures were up more than $4 in trade in London, pushing above $111 a barrel. Yet, USA is bent upon stopping Iran’s oil production.
Tehran’s latest threat of shutting down sea way for transportation comes at a time when sanctions are having an impact on its economy, and the country faces political uncertainty with an election in March, its first since a 2009 vote that By misreading the popular mood of Iran, the USA tried and failed all gimmicks to destabilize Iran even by employing the opposition to pursue its objective, triggering countrywide demonstrations leading to death of several Muslims.
It is not just President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who is the target for CIA , but Iran, though it looks he remains the USA’s prime enemy and the key target of CIA.
Countries like Russia in the company of China, both notorious UNSC members with veto, play their own brand politics to advance their own interests.
