Setting The Stage For A Political Murder

By Jim Fuller, Jamesclayfuller.com

Someone's going to get killed.

More specifically, it is all but certain that someone prominent, probably a member of Congress or a family member or aid of a member of Congress, will be physically attacked and quite possibly murdered soon by a fanatical right-wing knuckle dragger.

It's entirely possible that several people, or even many people, as in Oklahoma City in 1995, will be slaughtered by one or some of the cretins who feed their rage on right wing radio and television and the speeches of Republican hate mongers in and out of Congress.

President Barack Obama and his family certainly are not safe, despite the heightened efforts of the Secret Service.

In truth, the hysterical right wing militia movement that inspired Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh and his helper, Terry Nichols, was infinitely weaker than today's extremist movement in terms of numbers of people, money, media support and complicity at high levels of political life.

If there were a handful (certainly no more) Republican nuts in Congress egging on the militia madmen in the 1980s and early 1990s, they didn't begin to reach the numbers of unscrupulous Republicans who now encourage the “tea partiers” and their like to ever more irrational and more violent rhetoric and, as the shouting escalates, to action.

The nearest thing we've seen to this out-of-control mob since the Civil War was the racist backlash to the civil rights movement of the 1960s. Then, too, there were hundreds of thousands of enraged haters looking for a chance to maim and kill, or at least hoping that torturers and killers would come forth to attack black activist Americans and their white allies.

Inevitably, some of the sickest of that lot did step forward, seeking to be heroes to the other crazies.

Sometimes, we must remember, they succeeded in murder –- the murder of children, the murder of people who just happened to be where the haters struck, sometimes the murder of good people who believed in and worked toward racial equality. The child-killers were just as proud of themselves as were those who tortured and killed civil rights activists, and they received just as much support within the “community” of racists.

Most Americans have seen reports of the actions of demonstrators against the Democrats' health care bills over the past week or three, and the actions taken by right wing creeps since the main bill passed and was signed into law by the president. But a quick refresher on just a few of the actions:

* The “tea party” boobs chanted “Kill the bill, nigger, Kill the bill, nigger” at several black members of Congress. Rep. John Lewis of Georgia, a genuine hero of the civil rights movement, was spat upon as well as called nigger by the self-styled “patriots.”

* Some of the “good Americans” screamed “faggot” at Rep. Barney Frank of Massachusetts, on at least two occasions.

* House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and more than a dozen other Congressional Democrats have received apparently serious threats against their lives to the degree that security around them has been greatly increased.

* Pelosi and several other Democrats were called “communists” and “socialists” and other nonsensical names by wild-eyed screamers. They had to be protected from the mob when entering the Capitol of the United States to do their jobs.

* A right wing blog gave out the home address of Rep. Tom Perriello in Charlottesville, Va., only it wasn't the congressman's home. It was the home of his brother Bo. The dimwitted blogger invited people to drop by the house and “express their thanks” to the congressman for voting for the health care bill. Someone deliberately cut a gas line to the house, an act that might easily have led to an explosion, destruction of the home and even death for its inhabitants. (In Minnesota, we know the danger; two houses here have blown up in the past three weeks as a result of accidentally cut gas lines.) Fortunately, nobody was injured and the house itself wasn't damaged.

* Even Bart Stupak, the rabid antiabortionist from Ohio, has received many apparently serious death threats since voting for the health bill –- something he did only after he got triple assurances that no federal money will be used to pay for abortions (a stipulation that already was in the law).

* Rep. Randy Neugebauer, a Republican from Louisiana, shouted “baby killer” at Stupak in the House chamber after Stupak said he would vote for the health bill. Neugebauer soon claimed he meant the bill, not Stupak, but no one bought that. Then the Louisiana boob sort of apologized for his egregious breach of House decorum –- and turned around within 24 hours and made that breach into a fund-raising TV commerical for himself. That's a nasty little trick that seems to be becoming a standard Republican money-maker, in fact. Joe Wilson, the “You lie” guy did the same thing.

* A brick was thrown through the glass door of New York Rep. Louise Slaughter's Niagara Falls office, and since then a reportedly large number of other Democrats have been threatened with bricks through home and office windows.

* Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York, an outspoken proponent of a single-payer health care system, got a letter the FBI said “could be interpreted as threatening.” The letter contained a quantity of an unidentified white powder.

* Here in Minnesota, Reps. Betty McCollum of the 4th district and Keith Ellison of the 5th district have received specifically threatening letters. Sens. Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar also have been threatened. (Doesn't take much to set off the vicious right wing nuts, obviously; Klobuchar voted for the health bill, but she was a belated and apparently reluctant supporter of the legislation.)

Republican politicians have almost openly encouraged such behavior. They continue the incitement, and, with an eye on this fall's elections, have gone even farther with their crowd-stirring lies and overheated rhetoric than before.

As reported by the Washington Post, Republican members of Congress made outrageous statements to protesters and on the floor of the House during the run-up to health bill passage. (Some other outlets also reported some of the same and other statements and actions, but in general the corporate media treated the offending and offensive Republicans with a gentleness one would not see were the miscreants Democrats.)

Republicans put photographs of former Democratic members of the House on the chairs of present Democrats. The photos were of people who lost their seats in 1994 -– the obvious implication being that because of the health bill, the Democrats are on their way out this year. Most high school students would have more dignity and a greater sense of decorum.

Republican Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee said that with the health bill “freedom dies.” Texas Republican Ted Poe of Texas brayed that the Democrats are “on the path of tyranny.” Mike Rogers of Michigan yelled that the Democrats were pulling “dirty deal after dirty deal.” Devin Nunes of California claimed Democrats are just like Soviets and shouted that the House should “Say no to totalitarianism.”

And let's not forget the Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives applauding right wing protesters in the galleries as they shouted similar things to disrupt House proceedings.

And then a bunch of Republicans went out onto the House balcony to play to the protesters outside. Buck McKeon of California, Rob Bishop of Utah and Mike Turner of Ohio waved signs saying “Kill the Bill,” the Post noted. (Much of this was shown on television.) Mary Fallin of Oklahoma, Geoff David of Kentucky and Bill Bosey of Florida held up a “Don't Tread on Me” flag and then six or seven other Republicans went out onto the balcony waving “Kill the Bill” signs.

Fallin was quoted afterwards as saying “that's kind of fun.”

When asked about their supporters shouting racist and homophobic slurs at their fellow members of Congress, some Republicans pulled almost comically long faces -– some looked like they were barely succeeding in holding back laughs -- and said such behavior was naughty, with about that much vehemence.

A couple of Republicans in leadership jobs actually said that using the vilest of racist and homophobic slurs is “reprehensible.”

Since the weekend, even as Republicans went into a calculated pout in the Senate, preventing both routine and some very important committee hearings from going forward, they and their totally unrestrained mouthpieces in radio and television -– their real leaders, actually -- have been escalating the rhetoric in an unmistakably deliberate effort to incite their ignorant followers to even greater hysteria.

All you have to do to hear what's going on is to turn on Fox (I can't say Fox “News”) when Limbaugh or Beck or one of the network's Extremist Babes is on.

One example from my neck of the woods: Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, who seems never to have made contact with truth or reality, said in 2008 that she was very concerned that Barack Obama “may have anti-American views.” She also once asked that someone investigate members of Congress to find out “whether they're pro-American or anti-American.”

Wednesday (March 25, 2010), Bachmann spoke at an event closed to the press --a device increasingly used by Republicans to prevent the general public from hearing the nuttier things they say to the true believers. It nevertheless came out that Bachmann said “I had very serious concerns that Barack Obama had anti-American views, and now I look like Nostradamus.”

That's the pitch, and Republicans keep hammering it without qualm or any reference to truth or ethics. Their story, increasingly vehement, increasingly false, is that Democrats are anti-American, anti-patriotic, out to destroy our country, to turn it into a communist totalitarian gulag, etc., etc.

The Republican act is playing very well to the tea partiers and their sympathizers, by the way. Newspapers in the South and places such as Missouri and Kansas reported honestly on the racial and homophobic spewings of the health bill protesters. But look up the stories on their Web sites, and then look at reader responses – and be ready to gag or weep.

Those I looked at drew very large numbers of notes from people who, along with echoing the slurs, dismissed the reports of the vile behavior by claiming that those who objected to the racism and homophobia were smearing the protesters.

The Republican Party and its office holders are encouraging the racist, homophobic, anti-feminist passions that are at the very heart of and essential to this ugly, distorted “patriotic” movement of the ignorant, the fearful and the misled.

Somewhere, some mentally lame believer in Limbaugh/Beck/Palin/Bachmann et al almost surely will make a bid to become a hero of “the movement” by murdering one or more of its perceived enemies. In their view Democrats and liberals are, after all, an enemy out to destroy their America.

And those who have incited the mobs and are inciting them still will cluck their tongues and say the killer or killers were acting on their own and nobody could condone such an act. Oh, indeed no. Some of them will also mention, in the next breath, that one can nevertheless understand why the killers are so angry given the anti-American thrust of the Democrats.

In fact, some Republicans already are saying just that, smoothing the way for the crimes to come.

If they come, when they come, we must not lose track of who is responsible, nor let them skate free of that responsibility.

100 Million Americans Question or Find Fault with the Official 9/11 Story

9/11 Reconstruction: Mental Before Physical

by Joel S. Hirschhorn, Global Research

The failure to rebuild the World Trade Center site in Manhattan has received endless attention. But public anger about this failed reconstruction should not been seen so negatively. After all, mental reconstruction has also still not been successful and is surely more needed, with too many Americans still accepting the official government story about 9/11. This, despite a huge amount of compelling evidence that elements of the US government played some role, despite a very large, active 9/11 truth movement, and despite an impressive number of highly credible people demanding a new investigation as documented at patriotsquestion911.com.

In the recent Angus Reid Public Opinion survey of a representative national sample of American adults, 62 per cent of respondents disagree with the view that the “Sept. 11 incident was a big fabrication as a pretext for the campaign against terrorism and a prelude for staging an invasion against Afghanistan.” Far more Republicans disagree at 80 percent, compared to 66 percent of Independents and 55 percent of Democrats.

Consistent with this is that two-thirds of Americans (67 percent) agree with the government commission that investigated the events of Sept. 11, 2001, which concluded that an attack was carried out by 19 hijackers who were members of the al-Qaeda terrorist organization, led by Osama bin Laden. Though 12 per cent of respondents reject the commission’s findings, one-in-five Americans (21 percent) are undecided. In particular, 35 percent of Independents and 34 percent of Democrats do not accept the official version, compared to just 20 percent of Republicans.

These figures translate to about 100 million Americans that question or find fault with the official 9/11 story, far from a trivial number and far too many to dismiss as conspiracy nuts and part of the lunatic fringe. This is the important message that merits public appreciation.

That the mainstream media refuses to acknowledge this kind of public sentiment reflects on their lack of courage to dig deep into the role of the government and face the truth. This behavior does nothing to improve American democracy and trust in government. True patriots must acknowledge that government through the terrible acts of some individuals can carry out hideous acts; there is a bipartisan history of this. Truth is the best way to stop such behavior.

Clearly, Republicans have blocked out the painful possibility that the Bush-Cheney administration played a role in 9/11. This may also explain why the large tea party movement that results from strong disillusionment with government does not embrace the 9/11 truth movement.

Here is my perspective: If far more Americans rejected or questioned the official government story and demanded a new investigation, we would get the mental reconstruction sorely needed to ensure that the government never again uses a false flag operation to advance a policy (wars in Iraq and Afghanistan) that would not otherwise receive public support, especially one that kills thousands of Americans, both civilians and soldiers.

That the reconstruction at ground zero in Manhattan has still not succeeded symbolizes that the wounds of 9/11 are not healed, which means that we still have some chance of demanding and discovering the full truth, regardless of how painful it is. The cost of a first-rate new investigation might be $50 million, far less than the billions of dollars to reconstruct the Manhattan site.

In the end, truth is more important than new buildings. Worse than a hole in the ground is a hole in our national soul. We need Congress to authorize and fund a new 9/11 investigation. The highly fragmented 9/11 truth movement must unite behind a political strategy to make this happen. The only reason to fear a new investigation is the likely unsettling finding that, indeed, the US government was a lot more than incompetent and negligent.

Osiraq Redux: A Crisis Simulation of an Israeli Strike on the Iranian Nuclear Program

From: Saban Center for Middle East Policy

In December 2009, the Saban Center for Middle East Policy conducted a day-long simulation of the diplomatic and military fallout that could result from an Israeli military strike against the Iranian nuclear program. In this Middle East Memo, Kenneth M. Pollack analyzes the critical decisions each side made during the wargame.

The simulation was conducted as a three-move game with three separate country teams. One team represented a hypothetical American National Security Council, a second team represented a hypothetical Israeli cabinet, and a third team represented a hypothetical Iranian Supreme National Security Council.

The U.S. team consisted of approximately ten members, all of whom had served in senior positions in the U.S. government and U.S. military. The Israel team consisted of a half-dozen American experts on Israel with close ties to Israeli decision-makers, and who, in some cases, had spent considerable time in Israel. Some members of the Israel team had also served in the U.S. government. The Iran team consisted of a half-dozen American experts on Iran, some of whom had lived and/or traveled extensively in Iran, are of Iranian extraction, and/or had served in the U.S. government with responsibility for Iran. The Arab summit and the future of the Middle East

By: Salim Nazzal*

The vast majority of the Arab editorials which covered the Arab 22th summit held in Sirt, Libya stressed the wide distance between the Arab leaders and the Arab masses. This view is well expressed by Muamar Al Qaddafi of Libya who stated said that the Arab masses no longer trust their leaders.

Furthermore, as the Summit ended on Sunday, the Arab leaders did not bring positive options for the best interest of the Arab people, according to most Arab political analysts except to repeat the same rhetoric. This fact is also expressed by the Arab TV Al Jazeera, which broadcasted some speeches from past summits to show that the same rhetoric is being used at each summit. Al Jazeera also interviewed ordinary young men and woman from Palestine, Egypt and Syria and most interviewed expect very little from the Arab summit.

The Arab League which was founded in 1945 is perhaps the oldest regional organization in the world, but its achievements compared with its age are very little. This question too has been taken and various proposals were made to do some structural reform for the Arab League.

The agenda of the Sirt summit was too big that even if Arab leaders were serious about solving it, they will not be able to finish it in one summit. There are too many problems from Palestine, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, and Somalia.

As for the question of Jerusalem which is subjected in the time being to a Zionist campaign to evict its native Palestinians to replace over sees Jews instead, Arab leaders did nothing more than to allocate 500 million dollar for Jerusalem. The question of Jerusalem and the sufferings of its native Palestinians has been the focus of the Arab media lately to the extent that calls to declare Jihad against the Zionist state has been uttered. The residents of Jerusalem are facing the monster of the Zionist settlements alone, working actively to demolish thousands of years of Arab culture in Jerusalem which includes the Aqsa mosque and the Church of Divinity just to mention the most known Arab Muslim and Christian cultural heritages.

What was perhaps new is the call of the Arab League secretary to establish an Arab, Turkish, Iranian bond with the hope to establish a new Middle East based on the three nations.

But this call sounds late, as George Samaan states in the Hayat paper since Turkey and Iran have become effective in the region due to the Arab weakness, and they do not require an invitation. The speech of the Turkish PM Ardogan that the fate of Istanbul is linked to the fate of Cairo, Damascus and Jerusalem has been seen by most Arab observers as a strong move from Turkey towards a more effective role in the region. But it is difficult to know at this moment how much Turkey will be involved in the conflict, and it is also difficult to anticipate the Iranian response to this involvement. However, the relationship between Turkey and Iran has been improved lately to the extent that Israel fears a change from Turkey, which has kept a discreet relationship with the State of Israel

The Arab Summit has also witnessed the traditional confrontation between the trend which consider the peace with Israel a strategic choice, and the trend which argues that this position is weak and that Israel has not taken the Arab peace initiative seriously at the 2002 Summit of Beirut. The Summit in Beirut adopted what is known as the Arab peace imitative. Accordingly this trend argues that all choices must be considered to oblige Israel to respect the UN resolutions 181,194,223,383 which if applied might put an end the cycle of bloodshed in the region.

Arab observers pointed also to the absence of big promises in the final communiqué which is yet another evidence that Arab leaders knew that their power to exert change has become limited. Those observers believe that Arab leaders have become too weak to promise anything.

This consolidates the view that the Arab Summit which has undoubtedly revealed the fact that Arab countries or Arab leaders has become too weak to solve the problem. In the view of Jordanian political analyst most of these countries are overloaded of its own problem which makes it unable to stand to face the challenges in Palestine or in other places. Most of these countries are drowned in ethnic or religious splits and many of these regimes belong to the pre cold war time and are unable or unwilling to reform itself which might give fresh blood to the radical movements which seek to change the status quo.

Arab Emirates Builds The World’s First Zero Carbon City

By Tom Heap, BBC

The world's first zero-carbon city is being built in Abu Dhabi and is designed to be not only free of cars and skyscrapers but also powered by the sun.

The oil-rich United Arab Emirates is the last place you would expect to learn lessons on low-carbon living, but the emerging eco-city of Masdar could teach the world.

At first glance, the parched landscape of Abu Dhabi looks like the craziest place to build any city, let alone a sustainable one.

The inhospitable terrain suggests that the only way to survive here is with the maximum of technological support, a bit like living on the moon.

The genius of Masdar - if it works - will be combining 21st Century engineering with traditional desert architecture to deliver zero-carbon comfort. And it is being built now.

Masdar will be home to about 50,000 people, at least 1,000 businesses and a university.

It is being designed by British architects Foster and Partners, but it is the ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is paying for it. And it will cost between £10bn ($15bn) and £20bn ($30bn).

Renewable energy

The architects are turning the desert's greatest threat - the sun - into their greatest asset.

Architect's projection of internal courtyard
The quality of air will be better than any other street in the Gulf and in the world, and that alone will bring you safety, health and happiness
Kaled Awad, director of the Masdar project

They have built the biggest solar farm in the Middle East to power the city and to offset the inevitable burning of diesel and baking of cement in construction.

They are also experimenting. One project involves a circular field of mirrors on the ground, all reflecting towards a tower in the middle.

That, in turn, bounces the light down in a concentrated beam about a metre (3ft) wide to produce heat and drive generators.

But I was told firmly not to wander over and feel the warmth, as it could fry me in seconds.

The international team of engineers have real pride in their work.

This is more than building to them, it is a lab bench with the freedom to get it wrong, and Masdar's chief architect Gerard Evenden loves the concentration of expertise: "What Abu Dhabi is beginning to generate is the Silicon Valley of renewable energy."

Keeping cool

The Emirates have seen one of the world's most spectacular building booms paid for by oil and made tolerable by air conditioners, which also depend on oil to feed their vast appetite for energy.

Architect's projection of residential units

Lunar technology has begun to influence our thinking
Gerard Evenden, architect

But Masdar will have to be low temperature and low carbon.

Part of the solution is apparent the moment you walk in. And you do "walk in" because this is a city surrounded by a wall, a defined boundary.

Unlike the upward and outward sprawl of Dubai or Abu Dhabi, Masdar is compact like ancient Arab cities.

Streets are narrow so buildings shade each other, and the walls and roofs of buildings will do their bit to shed heat too.

The vertical faces are dressed with screens which look like a terracotta mesh. They keep the sun out but let the breeze in.

And as architect Gerard Evenden says: "Lunar technology has begun to influence our thinking."

One idea being tested is using a thin foil surface covering, a gas or vacuum blanket, to keep the heat out. It is an idea dreamt up for a moon base.

To encourage a breeze, wind towers are being built, drawing draughts through the streets without using energy.

Masdar will still use electricity for gadgets, some air conditioning and, most crucially, to desalinate sea water but, when it comes to power, the city has a simple mantra: "Only use energy when you have exhausted design."

Driverless vehicles

Conventional cars must be checked in at the city gates and then you can choose between the oldest and newest modes of transport.

Map of United Arab Emirates

At street level, it is all pedestrianised and the planners have done their best to keep the city compact and foot-friendly.

But if fatigue overtakes you, then slip down a level and meet the Personal Rapid Transit or podcars.

These driverless vehicles are guided by magnetic sensors, powered by solar electricity, and they stop automatically if an obstacle appears. They are programmed to go where you ask.

Kaled Awad, director of the Masdar project claims: "The quality of air will be better than any other street in the Gulf and in the world, and that alone will bring you safety, health and happiness."

The future success of the project will be clear to see.

On top of the wind tower, there will be a beacon betraying the city's actual energy use: red for too much, blue for just right.

It will be 45m (147ft) up and visible for miles around so, when Masdar is finished in five to 10 years' time, we will all know if it is in the red.

World War III Has Already Begun

Pravda

Some experts believe that World War III will start 100 years after the first one and will take lives of hundreds of millions of people. Some scientists think that the war is already going on, nearing the completion of its first stage.

Konstantin Sivkov, first VP of the Academy for Geopolitical Issues, developed a scientific concept of the reasons, stages and timeframes of World War II. He shared his forecast with Svobodnaya Pressa.

Sivkov believes that planet Earth has experienced a global, civilized crisis. The crisis was caused by several disproportions, namely: 1) conflicts between growth of production/consumption and available resources 2) conflicts between “poor” developing countries and “rich” industrially developed countries, between nations and transnational elite; 3) conflicts between spiritless free market with the power of money and spiritual roots of various civilizations, including Orthodox, Muslim, Buddhist and others.

“The analysis of possible solutions of these misbalances and conflicts shows that they are of antagonistic nature, and the crisis cannot be solved without significant infringement of interests of some large geopolitical subjects. This means that participation of military forces is unavoidable. Considering the global nature of the crisis, we may assume that military participation will be global as well, “Sivkov believes.

He predicts that World War III will be of coalitional nature. Countries will form coalitions based on their loyalty to one of the two models of world order.

The first model is “the world of civilized hierarchy.” Select few brutally exploit the rest of humanity. The second model is “civilized mutual support” or “civilized harmony.”

“In other words, the war will be waged to define the spiritual basis of new world order. It will either be based on individualism, selfishness and suppression, or community, domination of mutual interest to survive and develop and support each other. This is the main difference between the war to come and previous wars that were fought for economic redistribution.”

Two coalitions already exist. The first one is the alliance of the so-called industrially developed countries represented by Western civilizations. Spiritual foundations of this coalition are based on individualism and material possessions generating power of money. The coalition’s military and political core is represented by the block NATO. The second coalition involves countries of orthodox, Islamic and other civilizations based on the domination of spiritual over material. This coalition is interested in multipolar world order. Yet, these countries have not realized that they have mutual geopolitical interests, let alone a necessity in a political or military unity.

“The countries that are not a part of Western civilization are not ready for military confrontation neither in terms of organization nor technical preparedness. On the other hand, this coalition has overwhelming majority of people and control over ample natural resources and territories. This greatly increases their chances to win a long war and provides favorable circumstances for fighting the aggressor during the initial stages of war. Another potential advantage is that simultaneous attacks in all directions are practically impossible. This creates a reserve of time for consolidation of countries into an anti-imperialistic coalition. There is a possibility of supporting the countries that will become the first victims of aggressors,” Sivkov says.

The scientist is convinced that the war is already going on. So far it is in a relatively peaceful stage.

“The first stage that we may call an “attempt of peaceful crisis resolution” is nearing its completion. 20G summits fighting in the battle field right now are obviously not bringing the results. Imedi and Helsingin Sanomat provocations mark the beginning of stage two, that we may call a “threat period before the beginning of world war.” During this stage Western civilization has commenced preparation for local wars and armed conflicts for resources.

The main actions at this stage are information operations and actions in economic area that may take various forms, from economic sanctions to terrorist attacks against industrial facilities, as well as different activities of Special Forces,” says Sivkov.

“In a few years, the third stage will commence, the stage of “limited wars,” that will later turn into a full scale world war with all types of weapons.

The only restricting factor at the moment is Russia ’ s nuclear potential . According to the forecast of the scientist, the West will try to take away Russia’s nuclear shield.

“Considering the situation in Russia, when the fifth column of the West significantly affects decisions in Russia’s defense sector, in particular, the direction Russia’s armed forces will take, we can expect the form of SNF contract that will deprive Russia of its nuclear shield. Of course, it will be presented with a beautiful wrapping of struggle for the world without nuclear weapons.

Russia may expect physical elimination of its nuclear potential during first stages of the world war (organized terrorist attacks, etc.) with further transition of neo-imperialistic coalition to unlimited use of nuclear weapons, which will bring it victory in the war,” Sivkov stated.

He believes that aggressors will not be stopped with a possibility of death of hundreds of millions of people.

“History shows that the elite of “selfish” civilization do not get stopped by human sacrifices if there is a guarantee they themselves will survive in bunkers. The analysis shows that if the new world war is waged, it will touch the majority of the world population, all continents, oceans and seas. Over 100 million people may participate in this war. Total demographic losses may exceed several hundred millions of people. Therefore, all honest people on Earth, including those who form the “selfish” coalition must do everything they can not to allow it to happen. To do this, we have to mitigate with the force of law or other methods, the greed of transnational and national

tycoons of the financial sector. We have to stop their ambitious, greedy, shameless and sometimes stupid politicians. This can only be done based on international consolidation efforts,” the expert summarized.

Has World War III started?

Scientists Vs Zionists and WWIII
What You Need to Know About the British Israel World Federation Movement

Have a Nice World War, Folks

by John Pilger

Here is news of the Third World War. The United States has invaded Africa. US troops have entered Somalia, extending their war front from Afghanistan and Pakistan to Yemen and now the Horn of Africa. In preparation for an attack on Iran, American missiles have been placed in four Persian Gulf states, and “bunker-buster” bombs are said to be arriving at the US base on the British island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.

In Gaza, the sick and abandoned population, mostly children, is being entombed behind underground American-supplied walls in order to reinforce a criminal siege. In Latin America, the Obama administration has secured seven bases in Colombia, from which to wage a war of attrition against the popular democracies in Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador and Paraguay. Meanwhile, the secretary of “defence” Robert Gates complains that “the general [European] public and the political class” are so opposed to war they are an “impediment” to peace. Remember this is the month of the March Hare.

According to an American general, the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan is not so much a real war as a “war of perception”. Thus, the recent “liberation of the city of Marja” from the Taliban’s “command and control structure” was pure Hollywood. Marja is not a city; there was no Taliban command and control. The heroic liberators killed the usual civilians, poorest of the poor. Otherwise, it was fake. A war of perception is meant to provide fake news for the folks back home, to make a failed colonial adventure seem worthwhile and patriotic, as if The Hurt Locker were real and parades of flag-wrapped coffins through the Wiltshire town of Wooten Basset were not a cynical propaganda exercise.

“War is fun”, the helmets in Vietnam used to say with bleakest irony, meaning that if a war is revealed as having no purpose other than to justify voracious power in the cause of lucrative fanaticisms such as the weapons industry, the danger of truth beckons. This danger can be illustrated by the liberal perception of Tony Blair in 1997 as one “who wants to create a world [where] ideology has surrendered entirely to values” (Hugo Young, the Guardian) compared with today’s public reckoning of a liar and war criminal.

Western war-states such as the US and Britain are not threatened by the Taliban or any other introverted tribesmen in faraway places, but by the antiwar instincts of their own citizens. Consider the draconian sentences handed down in London to scores of young people who protested Israel’s assault on Gaza in January last year. Following demonstrations in which paramilitary police “kettled” (corralled) thousands, first-offenders have received two and a half years in prison for minor offences that would not normally carry custodial sentences. On both sides of the Atlantic, serious dissent exposing illegal war has become a serious crime.

Silence in other high places allows this moral travesty. Across the arts, literature, journalism and the law, liberal elites, having hurried away from the debris of Blair and now Obama, continue to fudge their indifference to the barbarism and aims of western state crimes by promoting retrospectively the evils of their convenient demons, like Saddam Hussein. With Harold Pinter gone, try compiling a list of famous writers, artists and advocates whose principles are not consumed by the “market” or neutered by their celebrity. Who among them have spoken out about the holocaust in Iraq during almost 20 years of lethal blockade and assault? And all of it has been deliberate. On 22 January 1991, the US Defence Intelligence Agency predicted in impressive detail how a blockade would systematically destroy Iraq’s clean water system and lead to “increased incidences, if not epidemics of disease”. So the US set about eliminating clean water for the Iraqi population: one of the causes, noted Unicef, of the deaths of half a million Iraqi infants under the age of five. But this extremism apparently has no name.

Norman Mailer once said he believed the United States, in its endless pursuit of war and domination, had entered a “pre-fascist era”. Mailer seemed tentative, as if trying to warn about something even he could not quite define. “Fascism” is not right, for it invokes lazy historical precedents, conjuring yet again the iconography of German and Italian repression. On the other hand, American authoritarianism, as the cultural critic Henry Giroux pointed out recently, is “more nuance, less theatrical, more cunning, less concerned with repressive modes of control than with manipulative modes of consent.”

This is Americanism, the only predatory ideology to deny that it is an ideology. The rise of tentacular corporations that are dictatorships in their own right and of a military that is now a state with the state, set behind the façade of the best democracy 35,000 Washington lobbyists can buy, and a popular culture programmed to divert and stultify, is without precedent. More nuanced perhaps, but the results are both unambiguous and familiar. Denis Halliday and Hans von Sponeck, the senior United Nations officials in Iraq during the American and British-led blockade, are in no doubt they witnessed genocide. They saw no gas chambers. Insidious, undeclared, even presented wittily as enlightenment on the march, the Third World War and its genocide proceeded, human being by human being.

In the coming election campaign in Britain, the candidates will refer to this war only to laud “our boys”. The candidates are almost identical political mummies shrouded in the Union Jack and the Stars and Stripes. As Blair demonstrated a mite too eagerly, the British elite loves America because America allows it to barrack and bomb the natives and call itself a “partner”. We should interrupt their fun.

Freedom In One Word

By Michael Boldin

Now that Heath Care legislation has passed, the obvious question for opponents is this: Now What? My answer is best summed up with just one word:

Marijuana.

No, I don’t mean that you should go out and smoke away your anger and frustration. Instead, you should feel empowered. The best way to explain this is by telling the story of a disabled mother from Northern California.

ANGEL’S STORY

Angel Raich has been permanently disabled since 1995. She has an inoperable brain tumor, a seizure disorder and other serious medical conditions. In 1997, her doctor felt that marijuana would be an effective medication.

Angel used homegrown marijuana, and she and her physician claim that it’s helped significantly. You may not agree with Angel’s choice, but it’s one made in accordance with California state law, which allows for such use. The federal government, however, has not shown much respect for state laws in recent decades, and chose to take action. After DEA agents seized and destroyed all six of her marijuana plants, she sued to stop them from doing so again.

The suit went all the way to the Supreme Court, and in Gonzales v Raich, Angel lost. The 2005 ruling made clear that the federal government did not recognize state laws authorizing the use of marijuana – in any situation.

THE COMMERCE CLAUSE

The court ruled that control over a plant grown and consumed on one’s own property was authorized under the “Interstate Commerce Clause” of the Constitution. Article I, Section 8, Clause 3 of the Constitution empowers Congress to “regulate…commerce among the several states.” It has never been amended.

Like any legal document, if the words of the Constitution mean today what they meant at the moment it was signed, we must understand just what those words meant at the time of its ratification.

There’s been a lot of scholarly research on this clause, especially the word “commerce” itself. Without getting into the long details of it all, it means this: Congress is authorized to make uniform national rules on the trade and exchange of goods (and related activities like their transportation) that cross state borders. On top of it, the word “regulate” meant to “make regular” – that is, to specify how these transactions may be conducted. Regulate did not mean ban, prohibit, or mandate. These words have different meanings.

With this in mind, the Supreme Court, which is not a set of nine infallible gods, ruled incorrectly. But rule, they did. Thus, all three federal branches agreed that State-level laws allowing marijuana were a no-go. In his dissent, Justice Clarence Thomas gave a stark warning:

“If the Federal Government can regulate growing a half-dozen cannabis plants for personal consumption…then Congress’ Article I powers…have no meaningful limits. Whether Congress aims at the possession of drugs, guns, or any number of other items, it may continue to appropria[te] state police powers under the guise of regulating commerce.”

RESIST DC

Even though she lost the case, Angel indicated she’d continue to use marijuana. At the time of the ruling, there were 10 states that had such laws. Not one of them has been repealed. Since then, another 4 states have passed similar laws, and many others are considering them, including South Dakota, Kansas, and New Hampshire.

Today, over half a million people are registered users of medical marijuana, and estimates say that millions more use the plant without registration. What’s been the result? The federal government will occasionally arrest some high-profile users, but taken in the perspective of the multitudes consuming the plant, the threat is quite low.

And, in mid-2009, recognizing a need for “efficient and rational use of its limited investigative and prosecutorial resources,” the Justice Department announced that it would back off the prosecution of medical marijuana patients even further.

HUH?

You might be asking, “How does this apply to healthcare mandates?” Well, the answer is pretty simple. When enough states pass laws defying federal laws, and enough people actively defy them too, D.C. simply doesn’t have the manpower to arrest and prosecute all of us.

This kind of activism – while it clearly carries personal risk – should be a real blueprint for people that have been consistently unable to find constitutional relief in Congress, the Executive, or the Courts.

Marijuana users: Love ‘em or hate ‘em, but show some respect for them, as many have suffered greatly for doing what they believe is right. People who believe strongly about other issues, like health care mandates, would do well to learn from them.

What should be done about federal control over health care? The same thing that should be done for every unconstitutional federal law, regulation, or mandate – Nullify Now!

The end of the nation state Not the end of history

Alan Philps, the National

When the Cold War ended, the American political economist Francis Fukuyama famously declared the “end of history”. He did not mean that events would cease to happen: his thesis was that the global ideological struggle between Left and Right had been resolved with the triumph of western-style liberal democracy. The job of politicians was not to chart a strategic course but to manage the economy in order to maximise the benefits to all.

In some ways he was right: Communism is dead, and though China is still run by the Communist Party, it is just a simulacrum, owing nothing to Marx. In the West, the triumphalist free-market ideology that followed the Cold War has been proved to be an empty shell, as the banks have rushed to the state for bailouts. The free market is a busted flush.

Everywhere countries are feeling their way, more intent on managing the crisis than finding a creed to guide them. There are of course exceptions – the president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, is promoting a Latin American style of socialism – but this is a luxury he can afford thanks to Venezuela’s buoyant oil revenues.

The ideology-free zone predicted by Prof Fukuyama could not last. Nationalism, in various forms, has flooded in to fill the vacuum. In some cases, such as China, it is the only glue holding together a vast and disparate country.

Other countries are being torn apart by mini-nationalisms – ethnic, religious or sectarian affiliations that had hitherto been suppressed by the power of the nation state.

The biggest test of the dream of liberal democracy is taking place now in Iraq. The poll held on March 7 had originally been hailed as the first where all sectarian groups would take part, the Sunnis having largely boycotted the previous parliamentary election. The world, however, is too jaded to see an American triumph just because the Sunnis got their index fingers dipped in purple ink.

The fact that no less than 306 political groups are contesting 325 seats in the Council of Representatives does not betoken a workable political culture. Even before the final voting tally is announced, it looks like the prime minister, Nouri al Maliki, will have rely on the support of his old enemies, the followers of the anti-American Shia cleric Muqtada al Sadr, to stay in power. This would mean creating a Shia block that could only alienate the Sunnis.

This is the antithesis of the principle of democracy, serving to exacerbate sectarian tensions, rather than smooth them over. This outcome is hardly unexpected, but gives the lie to American predictions before the 2003 invasion that the removal of the Iraqi Baath Party’s dying creed of Arab nationalism would give way to a vibrant and beneficial Iraqi nationalism.

Western Europe thought it had conquered nationalism, only to discover that countries are being torn apart by internal separatist forces. As the sovereignty of the nation state is slowly dissolved in the institutions of the European Union, regional nationalisms are coming to the fore.

In Spain, one of the causes of the budget crisis is the amount of money extorted by the country’s 17 autonomous communities, each with a growing bureaucracy. The Madrid government has to channel funds to the regional governments because it needs the support of separatist parties in parliament and to keep a lid on outright demands for independence. Globalisation, which has shown national governments to be hobbled by economic forces they cannot resist, has encouraged local nationalisms: people want what little power they have to be wielded close to home, in their own language.

An even more serious crisis is looming in Britain. At the forthcoming general election, likely to take place at the start of May, it is quite possible that English voters will vote for the Conservative Party, now in opposition, while voters in Scotland and Wales will vote for the nationalist parties and for Labour. This would for the first time produce a constitutional crisis, showing that the United Kingdom is not a nation, but several countries pulling in different directions. The impetus for Scottish separation would increase dramatically.

American commentators often express fears that such ethnic or sectarian separatism will infect the US as well, particularly with immigration still running at high levels. The adding of hyphens – where everyone is an Italian-, or African- or Hispanic- or other-American – has certainly diluted American identity.

But to a foreign eye, America seems the exception to the trend of separatist affiliations splitting countries apart. America still has a powerful national narrative that ensures that anyone who wants to succeed has to sublimate the first part of their hyphenated identity to the second.

As Patrick Buchanan, the American conservative political commentator, pointed out last week, the problem in Iraq lies with the American belief that the success of its own democracy is transferable, and indeed should be spread around the world for all to enjoy. “We see democracy as an end in itself,” Mr Buchanan wrote last week. “Many in that part of the world [the Middle East] see it as a means of establishing their ascendancy and hegemony over other religious and ethnic minorities.”

The Buchanan view is too harsh: it is quite normal for people emerging from a dictatorship any-where in the world to fear most of all the imposition of another dictatorship, and to vote for those they feel will protect their interests most assertively. It is also not an issue confined to the Middle East.

But he is right that a wide-eyed belief in western-style liberal democracy as a global panacea will only create problems. In themselves elections are not guaranteed to produce peace and harmony; they can just as easily lead to civil war.

Top Ten Reasons East Jerusalem Does Not Belong To Jewish-Israelis

By Juan Cole, Juancole.com

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told the American Israel Public Affairs Council on Monday that "Jerusalem is not a settlement." He continued that the historical connection between the Jewish people and the land of Israel cannot be denied. He added that neither could the historical connection between the Jewish people and Jerusalem. He insisted, "The Jewish people were building Jerusalem 3,000 years ago and the Jewish people are building Jerusalem today." He said, "Jerusalem is not a settlement. It is our capital." He told his applauding audience of 7500 that he was simply following the policies of all Israeli governments since the 1967 conquest of Jerusalem in the Six Day War.

Netanyahu mixed together Romantic-nationalist cliches with a series of historically false assertions. But even more important was everything he left out of the history, and his citation of his warped and inaccurate history instead of considering laws, rights or common human decency toward others not of his ethnic group.

So here are the reasons that Netanyahu is profoundly wrong, and East Jerusalem does not belong to him.

1. In international law, East Jerusalem is occupied territory, as are the parts of the West Bank that Israel unilaterally annexed to its district of Jerusalem. The Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 and the Hague Regulations of 1907 forbid occupying powers to alter the lifeways of civilians who are occupied, and forbid the settling of people from the occupiers' country in the occupied territory. Israel's expulsion of Palestinians from their homes in East Jerusalem, its usurpation of Palestinian property there, and its settling of Israelis on Palestinian land are all gross violations of international law. Israeli claims that they are not occupying Palestinians because the Palestinians have no state are cruel and tautological. Israeli claims that they are building on empty territory are laughable. My back yard is empty, but that does not give Netanyahu the right to put up an apartment complex on it.

2. Israeli governments have not in fact been united or consistent about what to do with East Jerusalem and the West Bank, contrary to what Netanyahu says. The Galili Plan for settlements in the West Bank was adopted only in 1973. Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin gave undertakings as part of the Oslo Peace Process to withdraw from Palestinian territory and grant Palestinians a state, promises for which he was assassinated by the Israeli far right (elements of which are now supporting Netanyahu's government). As late as 2000, then Prime Minister Ehud Barak claims that he gave oral assurances that Palestinians could have almost all of the West Bank and could have some arrangement by which East Jerusalem could be its capital. Netanyahu tried to give the impression that far rightwing Likud policy on East Jerusalem and the West Bank has been shared by all previous Israeli governments, but this is simply not true.

3. Romantic nationalism imagines a "people" as eternal and as having an eternal connection with a specific piece of land. This way of thinking is fantastic and mythological. Peoples are formed and change and sometimes cease to be, though they might have descendants who abandoned that religion or ethnicity or language. Human beings have moved all around and are not directly tied to any territory in an exclusive way, since many groups have lived on most pieces of land. Jerusalem was not founded by Jews, i.e. adherents of the Jewish religion. It was founded between 3000 BCE and 2600 BCE by a West Semitic people or possibly the Canaanites, the common ancestors of Palestinians, Lebanese, many Syrians and Jordanians, and many Jews. But when it was founded Jews did not exist.

4. Jerusalem was founded in honor of the ancient god Shalem. It does not mean City of Peace but rather 'built-up place of Shalem."

5. The "Jewish people" were not building Jerusalem 3000 years ago, i.e. 1000 BCE. First of all, it is not clear when exactly Judaism as a religion centered on the worship of the one God took firm form. It appears to have been a late development since no evidence of worship of anything but ordinary Canaanite deities has been found in archeological sites through 1000 BCE. There was no invasion of geographical Palestine from Egypt by former slaves in the 1200s BCE. The pyramids had been built much earlier and had not used slave labor. The chronicle of the events of the reign of Ramses II on the wall in Luxor does not know about any major slave revolts or flights by same into the Sinai peninsula. Egyptian sources never heard of Moses or the 12 plagues & etc. Jews and Judaism emerged from a certain social class of Canaanites over a period of centuries inside Palestine.

6. Jerusalem not only was not being built by the likely then non-existent "Jewish people" in 1000 BCE, but Jerusalem probably was not even inhabited at that point in history. Jerusalem appears to have been abandoned between 1000 BCE and 900 BCE, the traditional dates for the united kingdom under David and Solomon. So Jerusalem was not 'the city of David,' since there was no city when he is said to have lived. No sign of magnificent palaces or great states has been found in the archeology of this period, and the Assyrian tablets, which recorded even minor events throughout the Middle East, such as the actions of Arab queens, don't know about any great kingdom of David and Solomon in geographical Palestine.

7. Since archeology does not show the existence of a Jewish kingdom or kingdoms in the so-called First Temple Period, it is not clear when exactly the Jewish people would have ruled Jerusalem except for the Hasmonean Kingdom. The Assyrians conquered Jerusalem in 722. The Babylonians took it in 597 and ruled it until they were themselves conquered in 539 BCE by the Achaemenids of ancient Iran, who ruled Jerusalem until Alexander the Great took the Levant in the 330s BCE. Alexander's descendants, the Ptolemies ruled Jerusalem until 198 when Alexander's other descendants, the Seleucids, took the city. With the Maccabean Revolt in 168 BCE, the Jewish Hasmonean kingdom did rule Jerusalem until 37 BCE, though Antigonus II Mattathias, the last Hasmonean, only took over Jerusalem with the help of the Parthian dynasty in 40 BCE. Herod ruled 37 BCE until the Romans conquered what they called Palestine in 6 CE (CE= 'Common Era' or what Christians call AD). The Romans and then the Eastern Roman Empire of Byzantium ruled Jerusalem from 6 CE until 614 CE when the Iranian Sasanian Empire Conquered it, ruling until 629 CE when the Byzantines took it back.

The Muslims conquered Jerusalem in 638 and ruled it until 1099 when the Crusaders conquered it. The Crusaders killed or expelled Jews and Muslims from the city. The Muslims under Saladin took it back in 1187 CE and allowed Jews to return, and Muslims ruled it until the end of World War I, or altogether for about 1192 years.

Adherents of Judaism did not found Jerusalem. It existed for perhaps 2700 years before anything we might recognize as Judaism arose. Jewish rule may have been no longer than 170 years or so, i.e., the kingdom of the Hasmoneans.

8. Therefore if historical building of Jerusalem and historical connection with Jerusalem establishes sovereignty over it as Netanyahu claims, here are the groups that have the greatest claim to the city:

A. The Muslims, who ruled it and built it over 1191 years.

B. The Egyptians, who ruled it as a vassal state for several hundred years in the second millennium BCE.

C. The Italians, who ruled it about 444 years until the fall of the Roman Empire in 450 CE.

D. The Iranians, who ruled it for 205 years under the Achaemenids, for three years under the Parthians (insofar as the last Hasmonean was actually their vassal), and for 15 years under the Sasanids.

E. The Greeks, who ruled it for over 160 years if we count the Ptolemys and Seleucids as Greek. If we count them as Egyptians and Syrians, that would increase the Egyptian claim and introduce a Syrian one.

F. The successor states to the Byzantines, which could be either Greece or Turkey, who ruled it 188 years, though if we consider the heir to be Greece and add in the time the Hellenistic Greek dynasties ruled it, that would give Greece nearly 350 years as ruler of Jerusalem.

G. There is an Iraqi claim to Jerusalem based on the Assyrian and Babylonian conquests, as well as perhaps the rule of the Ayyubids (Saladin's dynasty), who were Kurds from Iraq.

9. Of course, Jews are historically connected to Jerusalem by the Temple, whenever that connection is dated to. But that link mostly was pursued when Jews were not in political control of the city, under Iranian, Greek and Roman rule. It cannot therefore be deployed to make a demand for political control of the whole city.

10. The Jews of Jerusalem and the rest of Palestine did not for the most part leave after the failure of the Bar Kochba revolt against the Romans in 136 CE. They continued to live there and to farm in Palestine under Roman rule and then Byzantine. They gradually converted to Christianity. After 638 CE all but 10 percent gradually converted to Islam. The present-day Palestinians are the descendants of the ancient Jews and have every right to live where their ancestors have lived for centuries.

Global National Intelligence Services Confirm Israel Did 9/11 Says Former UN Diplomat and Defense Contractor

Global National Intelligence Services Confirm Israel Did 9/11 Says Gordon Duff, Former UN Diplomat and Defense Contractor (Radio Interview Transcript)

Gordon Duff is the senior editor of Veteranstoday.com, a former UN diplomat, a defense contractor, and a global political and economic advisor. He just returned from a trip to Pakistan. Duff was interviewed by Mark McGrath and Phil Cooke on "The Ugly Truth" Radio Program yesterday (03-24-10). Half of Mr. Duff’s family are Jewish and so are most of his friends. He is not anti-semitic. You can listen to the podcast of Mr. Duff's radio interview at the following address: theuglytruth.podbean.com...

Duff confirmed Dr. Sabrosky’s assertion of 03-11-10 that it was Israel who pulled off the 9/11 attacks. Duff also confirmed that in agreement with Dr. Sabrosky, on June 8, 1967 it is certain an Israeli warship and Israeli war planes attacked the American ship, the USS Liberty, killing 34 and wounding 174 U.S. servicemen. Furthermore, at that time the American government mislead the American people into thinking that it was the United Arab Republic (included Egypt). who had attacked the USS Liberty. In other words the attack on the USS Liberty was a false-flag incident which Israel caused to try and pull the U.S. into a war against ISRAELI’s enemies, the United Arab Republic (included Egypt). Duff went on to say that to deny what actually happed with the USS Liberty is treason. This was an American “Holocaust” perpetrated by Israel.

Duff also informed the listening audience that today in European nations if someone in conversation mistakes how many Jews died in the Holocaust (you say 5,999,999 died instead of 6,000,000) they are charged with being an anti-semitic Holocaust denier and they are sent to prison for 5 years. This occurs whether the charge is true or not. If you try and fight the charge of anti-semitism, you go to prison for 10 years instead and your lawyer goes to prison with you.

Gordon Duff, Senior Editor of Veteranstoday.com, confirms the assertion made on the same radio program one week ago (3-15-10) by Marine veteran and graduate and former Director of Studies of the Strategic Studies Institute at the at the Army War College in Carlisle, PA. Alan Sabrosky, Ph.D., that it was the Israeli who did 9/11. Duff put his confirmation this way,
“I can, I can tell you that I have heard the same thing from the directors of national intelligence agencies who’ve told me this in confidence to the extent that, I won’t say who they are, but I’ve been assured that they know and they can prove that Israel did it [9/11]. But of course what do you do when we can have this discussion about the Main Stream Media or Zionism…you know I mean uh when fact has to be certified by a news media that is owned or controlled by people who work directly for the Israeli government inside the U.S. then there will be no truth.”

Duff also went on to say that pretty much everyone involved with the 9/11 commission has come out claimed mia copa and said
“They lied to me, they lied to me. Others walked off with and big fat check and said nothing. Still others shut their mouth so their kids wouldn’t die. Oops, I’m not supposed to talk that way! But, it’s exactly what goes on.”

McGrath responded to Duff by asking,
“just for the sake of clarity here ,Gordon, what you’re saying here not only as a decorated ex-Marine veteran who has been through combat, [Duff interrupts and says “Once a marine, always a Marine.”] well okay for the sake of clarity of this conversation, when you’re talking about people’s kids being killed, you’re talking about real-life Mafia tactics that are applied to our elected members of Congress or to anybody really who holds any kind of position of power or authority within the power structure of the United States? That’s what you’re saying.”

Duff responded with,
“Yeah, I’m saying that a massive criminal conspiracy capable of killing any and everyone from plane crashes to crashing aircraft into buildings in New York City to uh falsifying intelligence that gets hundreds of thousands of people killed in Afghanistan to falsifying intelligence to try to get us to invade Iran, by the way Iran, a country that Israel does hundreds of millions of dollars of business under the table with through Dubai. Israel and Iran, well, does anybody not remember Iran-Contra? I mean this routine here, with we’re supposed to not mention the massive drug smuggling part of it so I won’t say that part, but the part where Ollie North was convicted involved with some kind of weird trade for weapons to Iran all of it going through Israel that was supposed to I mean, now Iran, this was with the Ayatollah running the country and everyday he’s saying let’s destroy Israel and when you want to deal with the Ayatollah, you’ve got to talk to a Jew first! I mean is there something disingenuous about that? Uh, to this day if you wanted to reach anyone in Iran, you’d simply call Tel Aviv and ask for the number! We pretty much all know this.”

Duff went on to say,
“They talk about another issue with, uh, with Israel. We were talking about how we ended up in the Middle East. Let’s look at this Georgia South Osettia War. Uh, now supposedly 1500 Israeli commandos were there. That Georgia is a surrogate state of Israel. Uh, that key high-ranking Bush administration officials work for that government and manage affairs in Georgia for Israel. That Israel is heavily invested in all of the Caspian region pipelines uh because gas and oil transmission is frankly not a dishonest way to make money. But it’s a dishonest way to make money when you secure your investment by drawing your best friend and benefactor the United States into two hopelessly insane wars. And while we’re celebrating that big win in Iraq uh well, if Iran is our enemy, they’re pretty much running Iraq. So, if we don’t like that, then, we lost the war. The Americans, the reason they’re not dying every day of course for the most part is because they’re staying inside their bases because the violence level right now in Iran is very high. [McGrath, “You mean Iraq.” Uh, yes, sorry, Iraq.

Duff recommended people to visit a mirror site to Veterensnews.com which is opinion-maker.org. Duff went on to talk about the intelligence he had gathered from his recent trip to Pakistan. He pointed out that there aren’t any Israelis fighting in America’s two wars but there are about 70,000 Pakistanis. He also stated that many of the suicide bombers that cause death, destruction, and fear in Pakistan are supported by Israel and India. There are 30,000 troops in the streets of Islamabad due to the suicide bombers.

U.S. contractors and India are heavily involved in drug processing in Afghanistan. The U.S. benefits from the sale of drugs that stem from poppy crops grown within Afghanistan. These drugs are now able to be manufactured within Afghanistan rather than having to have the raw materials taken out of the country first. The war is being fought ineffectively because once the war stops billions of dollars of heroin money go away. Americans who see all of the massive drug dealing (with US contractors and India heavily involved) are told not to discuss the involvement of the U.S. in the drug business in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan and India are friends. Pakistan and India are dangerously bitter enemies. Duff stated that Israel is sending American military technologies over to India: AWAKs, anti-ballistic missile systems, highly advanced ABM systems. Combined they’re building ballistic missiles. Duff stated that Israel and India right now are in the process of developing nuclear inter-ballistic missiles (ICBMs) with a range to hit everywhere in the United States. These same ICBMs have a minimum range that makes them unable to be used against Iran. If the US and Europe are Israeli allies, why does Israel need these ICBMs?

Duff responded by saying,
“Since the Russians are withholding the installation of the S-400 anti-aircraft system in Iran, uh it would be very easy using F-15Es which are very nuclear capable of uh destroying Iran quite easily and of course why not since Iran not only is not making any nuclear weapons, duh folks, Iran is NOT making any nuclear weapons and I’ve had that from the Pentagon, and pretty much everyone knows this but Israel does have hundreds of nuclear weapons and is uh more than willing to use them. What’s going to happen to the United States if a uh nuke goes off in Tehran and kills a million people? Do you uh think that uh some other country isn’t going to attack Israel, you know perhaps Russia? Do you think that we won’t have a world nuclear war? Of course if you were a Christian Zionist and you believe that the Apocalypse should be brought on and as soon as we have that nuclear war, that you know the rapture will come, and a lot of American Christians do, then you should encourage Israel to kill millions of people. Hey, why stop at Tehran. Let them, as Israel threatened two weeks ago, let them nuke Rome. That’s what she threatened to do two weeks ago. I think the code would be if Israel feels threatened she has the capacity to destroy Rome and other cities in Western Europe and won’t hesitate to do so. That’s very close to a quote and you aren’t going to read that in the paper! (see reference at end of interview).

McGrath added, “And of all persons, Martin van Cravell [who Duff quoted] who is considered Israel’s most respected military historian.” Cooke asked, “Is it conceivable that the Israeli government is just tickled to death that we’re going down the tubes and some day the U.S. and Israel could come to blows?

Duff continued by saying, “Well, Israel is predicting that when the U.S. hits 15 trillion $ in debt, that our national credit rating will collapse, our ability to fund our currency will diminish significantly. So Israel has been making provisions to ally herself with China and ally herself with India. And of course a number of the key individuals within the Russian government are friendly to Israel. And Israel feels that somehow they’re going to meet that uh long established goal of being able to play one person against the another, I guess the way the British did it really 200 years ago, but they’re going to play the Great Game and come out on top somehow, whatever that is. This is all based on, essentially it’s, it’s an odd game because the game is played, the victims aren’t just the Americans that are dying and the Palestinians that are dying, but the Jews in the U.S., around the world, and many of the Jews in Israel are the victims.

You know this uh, I’m thinking about the guy here I can’t remember his name, the guy who’s the Ambassador to Belgium now, he was talked into funding the Swift Boat guys who turned out to be frauds. Uh, I actually had a go round with Warren Buffet about that because Buffet had said he had agreed to pay a million dollars to the Paralyzed Veterans of America if the Swift Boat Vets could be proved wrong and they were and Buffet refused to pay. We had a little email exchange on this after I wrote a little article criticizing him.

McGath,
“We were talking about the financial situation and you were talking about the Ambassador to Belgium and how he had been cornered.” Duff continues, “It’s not just that the financial situation got the way it is, it was engineered to go here. We didn’t get here accidentally. If you look behind, oh God and this has that conspiratorial sound to it, but if you think the subprime problem in the U.S., uh if you look at EVERY company involved, you’ll pretty much see the hand of Israel in it. And if you see what covered it all up, Rupert Murdoch and News Corp., but it wasn’t just that it was ABC, NBC, CBS, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the other frankly Israeli publications and each one here to varying degrees accused the other one of being the biased liberal press. We don’t have a press.”

Duff then stated,
“One thing Jeff Gates probably went into on your show is if a population in a free democratic country is chronically misinformed by their news, systematically and chronically misinformed, and if they don’t have adequate information to make decisions, then they’re no longer a free people.”

Duff continued,
“The underwear-bomber in Detroit was totally dropped on Israel’s door. Abdulmutallab’s Dad was not a banker out of Nigeria, he was a partner with the Mossad in the national defense industry. When the kid went to Yemen, he joined an organization run by two al Qaeda members who had just been released on the signature of Dick Cheney from Gitmo. Uh, the Yemeni government has proof and it has certainly offered the United States that the al Qaeda cell in Yemen is being operated out of Tel Aviv. The young gentlemen flew into Aregano where the government’s chief of security is one of my friends. I also deal with the Algerian government so I was able to track his movements through there. He arrived in Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. With all the endless lies that went around. The endless lies. He had no passport and was wearing jeans and a tee shirt. He told authorities that he was from Sudan and he wanted to get on a plane to the U.S. In view of two American attornies, he was walked into a back room, out another door, and down a pilot runway by an employee of an Israeli security company. Within ten minutes he was walked onto a plane. If you did this [Israel], why did you not do 9/11? Why did no one ever take a look at this?”

Duff added,
“Former head of Homeland Security, Michael Chertoff, represents a number of companies, both Indian and Israeli, that manufacture airport scanning devices. The stocks of these companies were up billions the next day. It becomes really clear that it was just a “small bank robbery”. Crashing planes into buildings was just a bigger bank robbery. “

McGrath,
“The future is what has me concerned. What someone has done once they’ll do again. What someone has done twice they will do again. Gordon, what is Israel likely to do next?”

Duff responded with,
“Israel is using the United States is a milk cow. There is a movement within Israel on the very far right who are very full of themselves. They think they’re not going to be smacked down. The military of the United States (all those in charge) is utterly through with Israel. Not are they only through with Israel, but uh, those in charge in the U.S. military have also had it with some American politicians (Mrs. Clinton, Biden, and Obama) who bow and apologize and won’t stand up to the Israeli government. There are crazy people in charge of Israel right now, totally nuts. This criminal element has no religious Jews in it. The extremist criminal element in Israel is in a position to use America right now because of AIPAC and the control Israel has over American news networks, to use the U.S. “

Duff added,
“The reality is the world is drowning in debt. The money is going into only a few hands. It is becoming increasingly chaotic and unstable and the standards of living are becoming lower and lower. No one is going to work in England or Germany (the supposedly powerhouse economy). The roads are empty. Pakistan has 18 months before economic collapse. India may have money and power but they have a lot of people in abject poverty.”

Duff closed with,
““The U.S.S. liberty is a benchmark. Anyone who doesn’t believe that Israel attacked that ship, their allegiance with America. If you can’t stand by American soldiers in war time, you don’t belong in the damn country. “
